Lamar Odom’s Best Friend Jamie Sangouthai Dies Of A Suspected Drug Overdosee
Lamar Odom’s best friend, Jamie Sangouthai, has died of a heroin overdose at just 37.
The basketball player and Khloe Kardashian, his estranged wife, are said to be heartbroken over the news.
Sangouthai was best man at Odom and Khloe’s wedding and regularly appeared on reality show, “Khloe & Lamarr”, which ran from 2011 to 2012.
Khloe’s Twitter message expressed her heartbreak.

Odom has not publicly commented on his friend’s death but sources have said that he is “extremely emotional and upset about his friend dying.” On Monday he was spotted boarding a Delta flight from Las Vegas to Los Angeles where Sangouthai died over the weekend.
Sangouthai and Odom have been friends since high school. They played basketball together in Queens, New York, where they grew up and Odom stayed close to his friend during his rise to fame. However, the two had become estranged in recent months as Khloe, going through divorce proceedings with her husband, blamed Sangouthai for Odom’s drug use.
Some newspaper reports suggested that Sangouthai was currently wanted by police on drug charges. Court documents reveal a bench warrant issued for Sangouthai for failing to appear in court in January. That appearance was related to his arrest in April 2014 for possession of methamphetamine.
Besides Khloe, Malika Haqq, another friend of Sangouthai, took to social media to express her grief. She posted a picture of her, Khloe, Odom and Sangouthai in happier times.
She captioned the throwback photo, “Thru good and bad times life shows us every spirit matters and leaves a print on the hearts of others after they have passed. RIP Jamie Sangouthai #GodHelpUsAll.”
Khloé also followed her Twitter message with an Instagram pic of her in Hawaii that said, “Beyond blessed and I thank God everyday for granting these beautiful blessings upon me. Life is good but even better when you experience it with fantastic people.”
Sangouthai is the second friend Khloe has lost in the space of only a few weeks. In May, Lionel Pickens, best known as rapper, Chinx, died in a drive-by shooting. Chinx was a bandmate of her ex-boyfriend, French Montatna. At the time she also expressed her grief on Instagram.
