DC’s ‘Legend’s Of Tomorrow’ Actresses Caity Lotz And Ciarra Renee Talk ‘Hawkgirl’, ‘White Canary’

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, or simply Legends of Tomorrow, promises to be DC Comics next hit comic book TV adaptation. With many fans hungry for Justice League film or TV show, Legends of Tomorrow seems to be DC Comics TV answer for the time being. The DC Comics show is an Arrow / The Flash spin-off, and the characters in the show prove this to be true, as Wentworth Miller (Captain Cold), Dominic Purcell (Heatwave), Brandon Routh (The Atom) come directly from both CW shows.

However, Ciarra Renee (Hawkgirl), Arthur Darvill (Rip Hunter), Franz Drameh (Jay Jackson), and a new character for Caity Lotz bring new DC Comics characters to TV. Caity Lotz and Ciarra Renee, according to Comicbook, recently sat down for an interview about Hawkgirl and White Canary. White Canary will be Caity Lotz’s new character, who apparently will be the resurrected Sara Lance, because it is a DC comic book TV show. Caity Lotz / Sara Lance will be taking a dip in the Lazarus Pit, but unlike Thea Queen, she will not be coming back the same.

“We want to make it different, there’s going to be changes,” Lotz said. “She’s still Sara Lance, but there has to be repercussions of everything that she’s been through. So, I’m hoping we really get to play with that stuff.”

Lotz will be reprising Sara Lance, even though she will return a villain, Renee will be coming into CW’s DC comics TV universe as new hero. However, Renee explained to CTV that Hawkgirl will not be entering Legends of Tomorrow as fully realized superhero just yet.

“The character I’m playing, Kendra Saunders, she’s just kind of figuring out that she has this power – this kind of like overwhelming anger that turns her into a warrior. She doesn’t quite understand it. She’s kind of realizing that she’s had past lives, which is also a weird thing to realize. So I don’t really think she’s a superhero yet, but she definitely has something interesting going on.”

The Inquisitr reported that Victor Garber, or one-half of Legends of Tomorrow / Arrow / The Flash character Firestorm, had little information about the show in May. He did predict that we would be getting a lot of information, and through the trailer after DC and CW’s Arrow season 3 finale, we got a whole trailer full of information.

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow is still a year away, but it is likely the Flash and Arrow will setup the plot for DC and CW’s new show. Will it be as big of a hit as those DC Comics show? Who knows. DC Comics fans are certainly excited for the next year.

What are your thoughts? Are you excited for the new CW show, or more excited for Warner Bros. films?

Leave your thoughts.
