Nikki Haley: President Obama Is A Bully [Video]
President Obama began his presidency by trying to reunite the Republican and Democratic parties. It hasn’t gone so well. In the last few days the President has given a few pointed speeches directed at the GOP and now South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley is accusing him of being a bully president.
“What is amazing is what a bully President Obama has suddenly become. Here was a man that came in with ‘hope and change,’ and now he’s bullying his way… He’s bullying his way on Paul Ryan, saying that he’s not coming up with an adequate budget. Now he’s bullying the Supreme Court, saying, ‘No, they won’t reverse this, they won’t go against us on this.’ That’s not how things work.”
Haley’s comments come a day after Obama ripped into the GOP budget. Obama said that the budget plan was “antithetical to our entire history as a land of opportunity and upward mobility for everybody who’s willing to work for it,” and called it a “Trojan horse” and “thinly veiled social Darwinism.”
Obama said:
“The Republicans running Congress right now have doubled down and proposed a budget so far to the right it makes the Contract with America look like the New Deal… It’s nothing but thinly veiled social Darwinism.”
Haley said that Obama has shown leadership in reaching a new budget plan and that he truly doesn’t understand the national debt. Haley said:
“I mean this is a man that doesn’t understand the increase in debt, this is a man that doesn’t understand that spending has to stop and this is a man who continues to go back to the New Deal himself, thinking government’s the answer to everything that’s wrong.”
