Anders Behring Breivik Had Planned President Obama Car Bombing

Anders Behring Breivik was arrested and found guilty in the murder of 77 people during a July 22, 2011 bombing and if Breivik had his way President Barack Obama would have been his first victim back in 2009.

The far-Right extremist during his arrest told Norwegian police that he had planned to pack a car full of explosives and drive it onto the square next to Oslo City hall as President Obama accepted his Noble Peace Prize.

According to Anders he was well aware that actually killing President Obama would have been nearly impossible because of security surrounding the event, however his attempt would at least be symbolic.

Anders, an opponent of the Islamic message hoped that hundreds of millions of people watching the Noble prize event would have caught onto his message regarding the dangers of Islam.

Breivik’s plan against President Obama was very similar to his July 22 attack which he says were necessary to alert Norwegian people to an Islamic takeover inside the country. That attack occurred at a youth camp on the island of Utoya and it has been described as the worst atrocity in Norway’s modern times.

In the meantime Anders Behring Breivik’s trial is set to start on April 16, nearly nine months after he committed his atrocities.

At this juncture in his hearing prosecutors plan to try Anders as if he were insane, that recommendation comes after an official forensic psychiatric report suggested he be committed to a mental institution. A second psychological report commissions by the families of his victims is expected to be released on April 10.
