graduation dance video goes viral

Graduation Dance: This Class Shaking It To Taylor Swift Is The Best Thing You’ll See Today [Video]

This graduating class dancing to Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus is the best thing you will see today, and the video has gone viral.

Last week, the Kahuku High and Intermediate School class of 2015 showed all those attending the graduation ceremony their moves when they got up and started dancing. The students put together a medley of popular songs including “Shake it up” by Taylor Swift, Wiz Khalifa’s “See You Again”, “Uptown Funk” from Bruno Mars, “Wrecking Ball” by Miley Cyrus, and “ABC” by the Jackson Five, which lasted for almost 10 minutes.

The video also indicates that this graduating class dancing routine included their own “Haka” — similar to that Maori natives do in New Zealand to welcome visitors — and is called the “Kaipahua Kura” in Oahu, Hawaii, where the school is located.

When you attend a graduating ceremony, you expect long speeches of which you hardly remember anything and an even longer line of students coming up to pick up their hard earned diplomas. In other words, a snooze fest. But not at Kahuku High and Intermediate School graduation.

In the best High School Musical style, these kids took the time to make their graduating day one them and their friends, family, and school staff won’t soon forget. This was so cool that the video of this very fun graduating ceremony has gone viral and the school is making headlines in traditional press and social media.

This graduation dance has been dubbed the “best in U.S. history” and even though we’re not sure about that, these seniors have done something special and are getting much recognition for making a boring occasion fun.

“The senior song/dance medley is a 20 year tradition that is performed by the seniors during the graduation ceremony. Kahuku High School is located on the beautiful North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii.” the video description indicates.
