Holly Holm’s Film Debut Alongside Miesha Tate In ‘Fight Valley’, Will Cyborg Join The Cast?

Holly Holm’s film debut will be alongside fellow MMA fighter Miesha Tate in the new movie, Fight Valley.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship fighter’s longtime promoter, Lenny Fresquez, confirmed to the Albuquerque Journal that Holm had been cast in the film, and said production is set to start in the fall.

Fight Valley’s official website describes the plot of the film, and from the looks of the cast, it should be a major hit.

“When Tory Coro turns up dead, the neighborhood turns up silent. Rumor has it she became yet another victim of the streets of FIGHT VALLEY. Tory’s sister Windsor moves to town to begin her own investigation on her sister’s mysterious death.

She’s quick to learn that Tory fought for money, just to make ends meet. If girl-next-door Windsor is going to survive her stay in FIGHT VALLEY to find the truth about Tory, she’s going to have to fight.

‘Jabs’ (Miesha Tate) swore she would never throw a punch in the Valley again. Jabs now finds herself training Windsor to survive the painful, unexpected path she’s about to take. Every corner. Every alley. Every doorway. She must follow the last footsteps of her sister in order to come face-to-face with Tory’s killer in FIGHT VALLEY.”

Michael Lucas, director of photography for the project, described the film in an emailed statement as a female version of Brad Pitt’s Fight Club (1999).

Fight Valley is basically about an underground fighting circuit where women go to settle their differences,” he explained.

“I think she could punch a hole through a cinderblock wall,” Lucas said of Holm. “To be able to have a girl like that on set and know that (she and Tate) are gonna be putting their all for us is gonna be really exciting.”

Rumor has it that Brazilian MMA fighter Cristiane Justino, better known as “Cyborg,” will also be joining the cast in the near future.

Last month, the UFC announced that the undefeated Holm (8-0) will be facing off with California teacher Marion Reneau (6-1) on July 15 in San Diego. Holm is currently ranked tenth in the world in the bantamweight division.
