Kim Kardashian And Kanye West: Is Her Style Hers Or His?
Kim Kardashian dresses to astound the masses. She has an awesome sense of style. Or does she? Husband Kanye West may have more to do with it than you know.
While Kim is always dressed to impress, her style makes you double-take. Most times when you see this particular Kardashian, there’s nothing else that catches your eye — whether you’re man or woman.
Honestly, if Kim K were to walk you, you wouldn’t be astonished? It’s better to tell the truth, right?
Well, in a recent interview with Kelly Ripa, it seems that Ms. Kardashian’s style might be attributed to her hubby, Yeezy. After Kelly mentions that Kim and Kanye are style icons, she explains how her husband helps her a lot.
“He’s very simple. And sometimes, I tell him to dress it up a little bit, because he’s been really casual. And he totally picks out my looks. I had on this white, Balmain pants suit, and he was like, ‘No no no. I think you should be a little more simple today.'”
“And [he] totally changed my outfit right before I was walking out. And then he was like, ‘Oh, I love your hair down.’ I was like, ‘No no no, ponytail. You don’t have that much…you only get one thing — outfit or glam.'”
However, that’s just a typical day in some marriages, right? The way it’s “supposed to be” is that the husband wears things to satisfy the wife and vice versa. That’s popular opinion anyway.
Nevertheless, she goes on to talk about how he actually styled her closet when they first got together. Interesting, yes? And many people thought Kim was before Kanye in design and fashion.
“I really do trust his opinion. When we first started dating, he went through my closet — we showed some of this on my show — and he had this stylist come in and they put everything that he thought wasn’t ‘cool enough’ in a pile. And…I walked in and it was a pile to the ceiling of shoes. All my amazing shoes that I loved, and I started crying.”
“‘I can’t get rid of this stuff. Your stylist has no idea what she’s talking about.’ So, I put it all in another room and I was like, ‘I’ll trust your opinion, but I’m not getting rid of my stuff. Let me see what you’re really talking about.'”
“I walk in my room, and there was an entire room filled with all new clothes. It was really cool, new designer stuff and I hadn’t even heard of some of these designers before. He really helped me fall in love with fashion. And I eventually did get rid of most of that stuff, and my style has evolved and changed. But I couldn’t see it at that time. I had to work it out on my own.”
Who would’ve thought it, right? According to Kim West’s testimony, it seems that it was Kanye who helped her become the style icon she is today. Wow. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are an interesting pair.
