Saudi Arabia Responds To Iran, Will Buy Nukes From Pakistan If Nuclear Deal Goes Through

Over the course of this year, Iran has tried to work out a nuclear deal with the countries of the world, especially the United States, through negotiations in the United Nations (U.N.). Apparently, a nuclear framework has been decided upon that resolved “major issues.” As a result, an agreement is being drafted immediately. Yet, the situation is a dire concern to some, especially Israel. Benjamin Netanyahu believes the deal is just a means for Iran to have a nuclear bomb.

Apparently, Israel is not the only country concerned for Iran’s nuclear deal. Reports show Saudi Arabia will be purchasing nukes from Pakistan as the latest move in the new nuclear arms race in the Middle East.

According to the Sunday Times, Saudi Arabia’s move comes amid their growing anger over Iran’s approval of a nuclear deal backed by President Barack Obama. The reason for such animosity is because Saudi Arabia is primarily Sunni Muslims who are constantly at war with Shi’ite Muslims. It just so happens that the majority of Shi’ites live in Iran. Therefore, Saudi Arabia’s desire to arm themselves with nukes is a means to even the field with a country — which at least has the ability to build a nuclear bomb — they have issues with.

Breitbart followed-up on the report, stating that it appears Barack Obama’s efforts to dissuade Saudi Arabia’s King Salman and Prince Mohammad Bin Nayaf’s concerns over Iran’s nuclear deal have failed. The Saudis may not be convinced that the United States could stop Iran if they were to build a nuclear bomb, which is why they are purchasing nukes from Pakistan. Apparently, the Saudis helped finance much of their nuclear program, so purchasing nukes shouldn’t be a problem. This was confirmed by Lord David Owen.

“Nuclear weapons programs are extremely expensive and there’s no question that a lot of the funding of Pakistan’s nuclear weapons program was provided by Saudi Arabia.

“Given their close relations and close military links, it’s long been assumed that if the Saudis wanted, they would call in a commitment, moral or otherwise, for Pakistan to supply them immediately with nuclear warheads.”

It should be noted that Iran’s nuclear plan doesn’t clearly state the ability to build a nuclear weapon. But if they were able to make a nuke along with Saudi Arabia purchasing nukes from Pakistan, there will be four countries in the Middle East with nuclear weaponry. The fourth country is Israel.
