Lady Gaga on ‘American Horror Story: Hotel’: Fiancé Taylor Kinney Claims ‘Applause’ Singer Is Excited About Her New Acting Gig

American Horror Story: Hotel will be adding a new cast member as Lady Gaga is set to appear in the upcoming season. Taylor Kinney, Gaga’s fiancé, recently talked with E! Online about his lady’s new role.

“She’s a big fan. She’s the one who turned me onto it. I’ve seen a few,” Kinney, who is known for his role on NBC’s Chicago Fire, stated.

“The performances, the writing, the cinematography on that show — across the board, I think she really wanted to be a part of it, so I’m looking forward to watching. I think everybody will be,” he added.

According to US Weekly, Gaga will be playing alongside other stars of the hit horror series, including Angela Bassett, Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Evan Peters, Matt Bomer, Cheyenne Jackson, Wes Bentley, and Chloe Sevigny. Both Jackson and Gaga are new to the series.

Although she has enjoyed plenty of success as an award winning music artist, this role marks the first time Lady Gaga will be featured as a regular on a TV series. The recently engaged pop star announced that she would be playing in the Ryan Murphy horror series on Twitter.

The new season of American Horror Story will center on a frightening hotel. The past two seasons of the show, Coven and Freak Show, were both filmed in New Orleans. However, this new season will see a return to Los Angeles, where the first two season of the show — Murder, House, and Asylum — were shot.

It’s still isn’t known exactly what role Gaga will be playing in the new series, and, apparently, Gaga has yet to even start preparing for her role. “No, I don’t think even she got scripts yet, but she’s excited. She’s excited,” Kinney revealed to E!

Along with Gaga’s addition to the hit series, Jessica Lange has announced that she will no longer be with the show. “I’ve had a great run here. I have absolutely loved to play these four characters that I’ve had the opportunity to play. I love the writers, my actors, and Ryan and the whole insanity of it,” she said, but will not return. “To cut to the chase, no,” Lange revealed at PaleyFest when asked if she would be a part of Hotel.

Lange has been featured in every season to date on American Horror Story, with her final role being Elsa Mars in Freak Show.
