“The Hunger Games” is poised to become the next big blockbuster series, but star Jennifer Lawrence says that there is no feud between the casts of the two movies. Rumors circulated last week that Lawrence was insulting “Twilight” and Kristen Stewart, but “The Hunger Games” star says that the rumors are not true.
The NY Daily News reports that Lawrence sent Stewart an email saying that she had nothing against her or twilight. Lawrence said:
“I wrote her an email because there’s this huge article about a “Twilight”/”Hunger Games” feud and we’ve never met before, we’ve never spoken. And there were all these fake quotes from me that were actually hilarious… When I was reading it I was cracking up, but then I was like, ‘Oh my God, what if she thinks it’s true? So I shot her an email, and was like, can’t wait to see more of this feud unfold… “
Lawrence said that she’s already received a reply from Stewart who said that rumors were just part of the Hollywood game. Lawrence said:
“Then she wrote back, it’s fine, welcome to the world where everything you say just gets turned into just [this big thing].”
There may not be a feud between Jennifer Lawrence and Kristen Stewart, but the two movies will definitely do battle at the box office. “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part I” brought in big money ($138 million) during its opening weekend but some are predicting “The Hunger Games,” which opens on march 23rd, to beat that during its opening weekend.
