Gallagher, the comedian known for his messy shows (mainly due to smashed watermelons) suffered a heart attack and is currently in the hospital.
Gallagher was scheduled to perform a show last night but according to the Hollywood Reporter the comedian cancelled the show after experiencing intense chest pains.
The 65-year-old comedian visited a Texas bar with one other person before his show when he had his heart attack. The manager called 911 and the comedian, whose real name is Leo Anthony Gallagher Jr., was taken to a nearby hospital in Texas.
The comedians manager said that the heart attack was “mild to serious” and that Gallagher would remain in the hospital for a few days.
US Magazine reports that Gallagher, now 65, suffered a heart attack last year while he was performing a show in Minnesota.
