Bethenny Frankel Explains Mean Behavior: ‘Ouch – I DO Sting Like A Bee’

Bethenny Frankel is back on The Real Housewives of New York, and while some older housewives are thrilled with the idea of her being back, some of the newer housewives are not used to her abrasive personality. Frankel can be a mouthful to deal with, and Heather Thomson is learning that she needs to be careful with Bethenny.

The Real Housewives of New York star Bethenny Frankel celebrated her birthday on yesterday’s episode, and for those who have followed Bethenny on various television shows know that she absolutely hates her birthday. On Bethenny Ever After, Frankel had a full-blown meltdown after learning that her estranged husband had a surprise for her.

According to a new Bravo report, Bethenny Frankel is now defending her decision to only invite those who she already knew. Kristen Taekman was not invited to the birthday party, but Bethenny hadn’t spent time with her as she had Heather Thomson and Carole Radziwill. At least that’s what viewers believe, as Kristen was questioning why she wasn’t invited.

“Ouch. I may not float like a butterfly, but I DO sting like a bee. Watching the dinner at Cherry made me giggle. It did look harsh when watching it back,” Bethenny Frankel reveals about her confrontation with Heather Thomson, who simply wanted to tell her that people were upset for not getting an invitation to Frankel’s birthday party.

“Let me create some context: I find that on the Housewives shows, being invited or not invited to something tends to be blown out of proportion, dragged out, and takes on a life of itself. This concept is exhausting to me, and I knew exactly where Heather was going. It felt manufactured to stir up drama,” Bethenny Frankel points out, adding that she was still new to the show and didn’t feel it was necessary to invite everyone as she didn’t know them.

But if Bethenny watched the previous season, there are some painful memories when it comes to people not getting invited to events. Ramona Singer wasn’t invited to London, for example. But one housewife only respects Bethenny Frankel’s decision. According to the Inquisitr, Dorinda Medley can only respect Frankel’s decision to go for what she wants. This lack of invitation was the premise of the drama on last night’s episode. But as Frankel points out, the theme of the season is The B Is Back.
