Tea Leoni And Tim Daly Make Red Carpet Debut At White House Dinner

In December last year, Madam Secretary star Tea Leoni and co-star Tim Daly confirmed their relationship to the press. Since then, the media has yet to capture the two together at a red carpet event. However, in a Correspondents’ Dinner set inside the White House last Saturday, Leoni and Daly stole the attention of the media as they made their official red carpet debut as a couple.

The Madam Secretary couple came to the White House event with veteran journalist Bob Schieffer and former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright. Apparently, Schieffer invited Leoni to the Correspondents’ Dinner and urged her to bring her boyfriend.

The 78-year-old Face the Nation host said, “I called Tea and said, ‘How would you like to come?’ And I said, you know, we’d love to have you bring Tim along.”

During the event, the foursome were photographed together on the red carpet. Leoni pulled off a flattering black number. She paired the sophisticated dress with a sheer black cape. To accent her outfit, the actress then donned a silver pin on her chest. She sure was dressed appropriately for the event.

Daly, on the other hand, wore a sleek black suit with a matching black bow tie. Together, Leoni and Daly looked seemingly happy and not to mention, highly fashionable. Daly was also captured on camera holding Albright’s hand as they walked down the red carpet. The former Secretary of State wore a red gown, which she adorned with an attractive brooch.

Talking about his famous dates to the White House dinner, Daly said, “We’re gonna be a hot table.” On his Twitter account, the actor posted a couple of photos of showing off his companions that evening. In one of his snaps, Daly jokingly described their table as the “heavy table.”

Leoni and Daly began dating just four months after the actress’ divorce was finalized. She was previously married to ex-husband David Duchovny for 14 years. They have two children namely Madelaine and Kyd.

Daly was also previously married. He separated from his ex-wife Amy Van Nostrand in 2010. In their 26 years of marriage, Daly and Van Nostrand had two children together, Sam and Emelyn.

Filming on the set of Madam Secretary, the chemistry between Leoni and Daly was undeniable. At that time, a source talked of their intense connection describing, “Their chemistry on set is electrifying. They have an amazing time filming.”
