Golfer Rachel Connor Arrested For DUI

Pro golfer Rachel Connor was arrested early this morning for drunk driving. Retired NFL star Eddie George was in the passenger seat at the time of the arrest. Florida police allowed George to take a cab home.

TMZ reports that Connor, 21, was pulled over in Sarasota, Florida, at about 2:30 in the morning. Florida police say that Connor was speeding and weaving in and out of her lane.

The police report reads:

“As I followed the vehicle north on Ocean Boulevard the vehicle quickly slowed down to the speed limit and weaved in the lane.”

The British golf pro told the officers that she had had 2 vodka cranberries earlier in the night. The officers had Connor do a field sobriety test and said that the golf star couldn’t walk a straight line or count in numerical order. They then gave Connor a breathalyzer test… which she failed. Connor blew a .133, well over the legal limit of .08.

Before the arrest Connor and George were participating in the Archie Griffin Celebrity Golf Classic at The Concession in east Manatee County.
