Bobby Flay Responds To Cheating Rumors

Bobby Flay has found himself in some pretty hot water following the news that he and his wife, former Law & Order: Special Victims Unit star Stephanie March, were headed for divorce.

According to a previous report by the Inquisitr, the split between Bobby Flay and Stephanie March has been a long time coming. While their marriage had some low points, it was the cheating allegation that seems to have broken the camel’s back.

Rumor has it that Bobby Flay has been having an affair with one of his assistants, now being identified as 28-year-old Elyse Tirrell, a singer/actress who worked at Bobby Flay’s Bar Americain in 2008 before becoming his assistant.

Acording to Fox News, Stephanie March learned of the affair shortly after Thanksgiving and turned to actress, writer, and close friend Maia Madison for support.

“She came to my house and was sobbing uncontrollably. She said, ‘I can’t believe the last 10 years of my life have been a lie,'” said Madison. “Elyse had always seemed so nervous when Stephanie came to one of the restaurants, and Stephanie, not knowing what was happening, went out of her way to compliment her and try to make her more comfortable. Elyse had even been to Stephanie’s home when she was there — and when she wasn’t.”

Since the cheating allegations came to light, there has been quite a bit of mudslinging going on between the couple, including rumors that Stephanie also cheated during their relationship and that Bobby Flay has cancelled all of their shared credit cards, leaving March with almost nothing.

According to the Inquisitr, Bobby made his first payment of $5,000 to March, as outlined in the couple’s prenup, which was signed by March before they were married. However, March allegedly returned the check “with a firmly-worded note.”

Us Weekly stated that a rep for Bobby Flay has since released a statement regarding the new cheating claims.

“We will continue to refrain from responding to the continued efforts by certain parties to spread rumors and innuendo. This specific allegation was in a letter sent from one attorney in this case to the other. It was written and then leaked specifically to try to insert this story into the press, and that’s unfortunate. Even more unfortunate is that all of this is being done in order to renegotiate a prenuptial agreement that was agreed to over a decade ago and never amended during the marriage.”
