Confirmed: Natasha Richardson has died

A family spokesman has confirmed that actress Natasha Richardson died Wednesday in New York.

An official statement said “Liam Neeson, his sons, and the entire family are shocked and devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Natasha. They are profoundly grateful for the support, love and prayers of everyone, and ask for privacy during this very difficult time.”

The precise cause of death was not disclosed, but is believed to have been a epidural hematoma. Experts suggest that Richardson suffered from “walk and die,” syndrome, appearing normal immediately after the injury, walking and talking as though nothing happened, with symptoms developing later.
