Heather Dubrow Admits She Was ‘Angry’ During ‘RHOC’ Season 9, Claims She’s More Herself On Season 10

Heather Dubrow joined The Real Housewives of Orange County during the show’s eighth season and will soon debut in Season 10. In a new interview, Heather Dubrow discussed her journey as a Real Housewife.

“I came in not knowing anyone. I came from the scripted world, and I was very uncomfortable doing reality,” Heather Dubrow told People Magazine on April 12.

“When I first started the show, I was very buttoned-up and very reserved. It’s really been an evolution for me in the group and on the show.”

Throughout her time on The Real Housewives of Orange County, Heather Dubrow has dealt with personal challenges surrounding her career and home life. During Season 9, the pressures she was feeling from her family resulted in her persona with fans changing for the worse. While she was sassy and smart during Season 8, her Season 9 portrayal appeared to show a more edgy person with a mean-spirited attitude. She claims, however, that her on-screen drama was fueled by her family pressures at home.

“I was very tired, and I didn’t see the other girls a lot. I felt very isolated. I was really angry last year, and I wasn’t sure why. I think that’s why.”

After the season wrapped, Heather Dubrow and her husband, Dr. Terry Dubrow, agreed to give him his time in the spotlight, while she stayed home and took care of their four children. Although Heather Dubrow has always been career-minded, the time away from the spotlight proved to be beneficial for everyone.

“When Terry went back to work on Botched, as a family and a couple we talked about it and we decided I needed to take a step back. Let Terry go do his thing. I need to be in charge of the family and our marriage and make sure everyone is functioning, and then I’ll have my time again. You need to make those critical decisions, and it made me such a happier person, and it allowed me relax.”

Once Heather Dubrow and her husband got their lives in order, she began filming Season 10, and is sure fans will like what they see from more than they did during Season 9.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Heather Dubrow previously blamed her Season 9 antics on her voice and hand gestures. After being deemed a bit more mean on Season 9, Heather Dubrow sat down at the reunion, where she explained her behavior was the result of the “tone and timbre of my voice, and it’s the cadence at which I speak, and it’s my vocabulary, and it’s the way I gesticulate with my hands.”
