Blake Lively’s Baby Godmomma Drama: Who Did The Star Really Name As Her Baby’s Godmother
Blake Lively has finally confirmed to fans that while daughter James may have a quite a few “fairy godmothers” out there, there is only one person who can be called her true godmother.
Reports broke Thursday that Blake Lively named her cast mates from the popular series The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants as daughter James’ godmothers. According to E! News, during an interview with Nick Lachey for his VH1 show Morning Buzz, Amber Tamblyn “confirmed” that she, America Ferrera, and Alexis Bledel were all godmothers to Blake Lively’s little girl.
“You’re still very close with your… co-stars and the three of you are godmothers to Blake Lively’s baby — is that a fact?” Nick Lachey asked Tamblyn, who replied, “Yes, that is a fact.”

Well, it turns out the saying is true. You should never believe everything you see on TV because Blake Lively has since spoken out. The actress said that her on-screen sisterhood are not godmothers to baby James.
According to Entertainment Tonight, Blake Lively confirmed to an E! News correspondent that her Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants co-stars are, in fact, not co-godmothers to baby James.
“I never named them my godmothers,” said Lively. “They’re my dear friends. I would say my baby has a lot of fairy godmothers.”
When asked who baby James’ true godmother was, Blake Lively responded with her sister, Robyn Lively, according to Us Weekly.
“My sister would be the one to take care of my baby [if something were to happen].”
While Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants fans take a moment to reflect on this, it’s safe to say that the big mystery has officially been solved. Baby James’ Godmother is her Aunt Robyn, but she does have quite a few little fairy godmothers in Blake Lively’s close friends.
