‘RHONJ’ Spotlight Will Focus On Melissa Gorga During Season 7?

The RHONJ spotlight will reportedly focus on Melissa Gorga during the show’s upcoming seventh season. With Teresa Giudice incarcerated, Gorga will return to the series as the longest-running Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member, and according to a friend, Gorga couldn’t be happier for her time in the RHONJ spotlight.

On April 10, a source close to Melissa Gorga revealed the following to Radar Online.

“Melissa realizes that she has a huge opportunity now with Teresa gone. She is going to be the star now since Teresa is behind bars and she’s loving her new role.”

For years, the RHONJ spotlight was shining on Teresa Giudice, who was the only remaining original housewife on the series. Once Gorga joined during Season 3, the fight for the RHONJ spotlight was on. However, Gorga’s storyline was often based on the things Giudice had said about her, not on her own life, which she hopes to change.

“Melissa is relieved that she isn’t going to have to defend herself with all the lies that she believes Teresa was spreading about her.”

According to the Radar Online report, Gorga has gotten a “hefty raise” for her time in the RHONJ spotlight and plans to make the most of her camera time. As the source explained, Gorga is “ready to be the center of attention and have the show revolve around her.”

“Teresa’s year-long sentence is a blessing in disguise for Melissa.”

Although Gorga may be the center of the RHONJ spotlight on Season 7, her moment in the RHONJ spotlight may be short-lived. As the Inquisitr reported earlier this week, Bravo allegedly wants Giudice to return to the series once she’s released from custody early next year. At the same time, a source confirmed to Us Weekly that Gorga would “likely” be back, as well.

While Gorga is certainly worthy of the RHONJ spotlight, with her glamorous lifestyle and picture perfect family with husband Joe, the brother of Giudice, things haven’t been easy for her on the show. During a previous season, the RHONJ spotlight shined on her alleged stripper past, although Gorga claimed she was never a stripper. One season later, the RHONJ spotlight focused on her and Joe’s drama with the Giudices, which erupted into a physical fight during a cast vacation on Season 5.

Then, finally, during Season 6, the RHONJ spotlight shined a light on the improvements in Gorga’s relationship with Giudice and her husband.
