Big Ang’s Sister Gives Update On ‘Mob Wives’ Tumor Surgery

As the Inquisitr reported, Big Ang had to undergo surgery after doctors found a tumor the size of a lemon in her throat. Although it isn’t clear whether or not the tumor is cancerous, doctors still wanted the Mob Wives star to undergo the surgery to remove the tumor.

Originally Big Ang was scheduled to start filming but was hospitalized after she experienced pain. After stories started to crop up, Big Ang took to Facebook to clear the air about her condition.

“This is a minor setback, but I promise you this…I already have some BIG things in the world and will be returning to your TVs very soon. Always look after yourselves and don’t neglect your health. I’m fortunate and blessed to have discovered something very early, and handle it in a positive manner.”

Recently, the reality star’s sister, Janine Detore, set the record straight on Big Ang’s surgery and how the Mob Wives star is coping after the intense medical procedure. Big Ang’s sister took to Instagram to express her gratitude and to keep fans in on what’s going on with the Mob Wives star.

“To all my sisters family friends fans & well wishers my sister @biggangvh1 had a extremely long nerve racking surgery today she’s now in recovery resting I wanna thank each & everyone of you for reaching out to us and praying for her & my family today.”

She continued, “As I said this morning as I stand behind my sister in this picture I stood behind her today & every day we will always stand by each other through thick & thin blood is blood sister sister a bond that could never be broken now just pray for a speedy recovery I love her so much & you’ll see her very soon she’s a fighter #lilsis #bigsis #family #forever #sistersister.”

This isn’t the first set back that Big Ang, real name Angela Raiola, has experienced.

As the Inquisitr reported, Big Ang’s Staten Island bar, The Drunken Monkey, which was heavily featured on the VH1 show, was shut down. It’s believed that it was shut down due to “illicit ownership interest in the place.” Although Big Ang’s cousin held the liquor license, Big Ang had authority over the bar, which wasn’t allowed due to the fact that she’s a convicted felon.

Hopefully Big Ang has a speedy recovery.
