Farrah Abraham Awkward Return: ‘Teen Mom’ Dishes On Return To TV
Farrah Abraham is dishing on her awkward return to the Teen Mom franchise. Farrah, who wasn’t originally supposed to be a part of the Teen Mom OG reunion season but was called on in the middle of shooting and asked to return to the show, says it wasn’t easy going back to her roots.
Abraham reveals to Us Weekly that after more than a couple feuds and spats with her Teen Mom co-stars Maci Bookout, Catelynn Lowell, and Amber Portwood, returning to the franchise was a bit uncomfortable for all involved.
“When I got the call to come back, it was a little bit awkward for me, and I tried to work with them the best that I could. I was just a little bit reluctant because of the progress I’d made while I was not on the show. “
As many Teen Mom fans may know, Farrah Abraham’s awkward return was in part because her cast mates didn’t want her back on the show. MTV announced that Farrah would not be a part of the season, but changed their minds in the process. At first it was reported that Farrah was not asked back because of the release of her sex tape and other involvement in the adult sex industry, but the network seemingly thought the show lacked without Abraham’s story line.
“It’s good to be back for Sophia’s sake and showing how our lives are to help others,” she said. “And that’s why we’re back.”
Meanwhile, Farrah’s co-stars are speaking out about their feelings on the return. The International Business Times reports that Maci Bookout in particular was most upset and was seen in the Teen Mom OG trailer telling camera crews that they should stop filming and go home if Farrah was going to be a part of the show again.
“I’m not going to lie and say I was happy about it,” she revealed. “But, I mean, it’s something that I guess people will just have to watch on the show. And it has nothing to personally do with Farrah at all. I have no hard feelings toward her whatsoever.”
As previously reported by the Inquisitr, some sources have reported that Farrah’s been a bit of a diva since returning to the show, and Maci Bookout’s involvement in further seasons is now being questioned because of Abraham’s awkward return to the series.
