Joan Rivers is 78-years-old and doesn’t look a day over 80. The talk show host and comedian recently revealed that she has undergone plastic surgery more than 700 times in her life.
Rivers said:
“Every weekend I just go in and I do something new. I get a 10th one free. It’s a little like coffee you just keep going.”
Melissa Rivers, Joan’s daughter, said that the family had a semi-intervention to get Joan to stop getting work done. Melissa said:
“At one point I start to think the risk outweighs the reward, so I wanted my mom to know how I felt about it and I think I made myself fairly clear.”
But Melissa’s message wasn’t well received. The Daily Telegraph reports that Joan offered to buy everyone in the room a procedure and everyone accepted.
Still, there’s one piece of body modification that the comedian hasn’t gotten yet. Joan Rivers still doesn’t have a tattoo… but she’s thinking about.
“I ended up not getting (the tattoo) because they put you in a room with mirrors and I was putting it on my ass and I took a look and I just got so depressed. I said, ‘Cover this right up…’ (maybe) on my 79th (birthday).”
If she does work up the courage to get a tattoo, she said that she’d probably get her phone number tattooed on her body. Joan said:
“Melissa wanted me to just put my home number, ‘If Lost, please call Betty White.”

Before you decide, look at a photo of her without makeup. She is unrecognizable. She is funny, and I love her, but 739 surgeries is too many. She must spend hours layering on that makeup.

It's a joke, people! Joan Rivers did NOT have 739 plastic surgeries. She was on Anderson Cooper today where she joked about this ridculous statistic. Journalists and posters should get their facts straight before writing and/or commenting.
Betty White looks great at 80 without plastic surgery. Joan should just age gracefully and stop trying to regain her youthful appeareance.
Her skin is pulled so tight that every time she sits down her mouth snaps open.

Hi, Joan- my father is turning 78 this coming Thursday and he is so precious and handsome- he also has all his 'wits' about him! He is a real 'Irishman' thru to the bones , but basically brought us all up 'jewish' because his best friend and business partner to this very day is a 'true jew'! Joan, he is single and so are you- what a great combo you would be together!
It's incredible how many people are taking her comic exaggeration literally.
It really don't matter how many surgeries she has had. She still looks like a freak. I wouldn't waste my time watching anything she is on. She's not funny… just dumb!

Joan Rivers is one of my all time favorites! Check out "Joan and Melissa, Mother Knows Best" on WE Tuesday night or On Demand. Joan doesn't NEED anymore plastic surgery it's gets too risky at her age.
I can understand her daughter worrying about her mother's health, but on the other hand, Joan has lived a long eventful life. I feel she should be able to make her own decisions about her life and body and what makes her happy. Joan, if you are reading any of this, also think of those who love you.
Of course Joan got upset at Melissa for voicing her concerns; she's a plastic surgery addict. I know she didn't have anywhere near 700 surgeries but she's had more than most people do and she's not going to stop. It's a shame really because she didn't look bad before she started all of this. She looks like a clown now.

"Here to help" what kind of unhelpful comment was that? It's because of sick comments like yours that people get plastic surgury in the first place, and like you wouldn't complain and don't at people born naturally ugly or who are ugly from age? You don't even show a pic of yourself, I wonder why.
