Kanye West Announces New Album Title

Kanye West announced his upcoming album title on Saturday evening. West took to Twitter, teasing his followers with the announcement.

West announced that his new album will be titled So Help Me God. The rapper has kept tight-lipped about when the album will be released.

While participating in an interview with The Breakfast Club, Kayne mentioned that the album will be released unbeknown to his fans.

“Release dates is played out. The surprise is gonna be a surprise.”

Regardless, Kanye West has revealed that his album will address the Eric Garner and Michael Brown protests that he chose to ignore throughout its entirety from the advice of his father.

“My dad would email me and say, ‘Stay out of it.’ That’s my only parent, so I have to listen to him sometimes. I can’t run in front of every bullet.”

Despite that, West has intimated that his next album, So Help Me God, will not be a protest album and has insisted that it will be about “embracing the music.”

“[It’s gonna be] bars, songs, cookout music that just feels good … This album is embracing the music, joy. Being of service to the people. I just hope people like it and enjoy it.”

Earlier, the Inquisitr reported that Kayne West had finally listened to Beck’s Morning Phase while hanging with Taylor Swift.

West declared that Morning Phase was better than he expected and probably deserved its award at the Grammys. However, he is still adamant that Beyonce should have gotten the nod due to its commercial success.

“I went to dinner and sat down with Taylor Swift, and ironically, they were playing the Beck album. I was listening like, ‘Man, this is kinda good. I ain’t even gonna lie.’ I’m gonna listen to the album and maybe it was potentially an album of the year, but the Grammys, they still have a commercial component to it.”

As always many took to Twitter to share their thoughts about the announcement.
