Charlie Hebdo: ISIS Muslim Terrorist Attack? Donald Trump Blames Gun Control Due To Unarmed Police

[Update] The Paris shooting suspects have been arrested and it’s claimed they are part of a Yemeni terrorist group. One of their members was arrested in the past for his terrorist activities and witnesses say the shooters said the attack could be blamed on “al Qaeda in Yemen.”

Is the Charlie Hebdo attack an ISIS Muslim terrorist attack? Many feel labeling the Paris shooting as such is political, but the Islamic State is already claiming the attack shows the power of ISIS at work. But according to Donald Trump, the Charlie Hebdo shooting is really all about gun control laws, since it’s claimed that the French police could not effectively do their jobs without having weapons on hand.

In a related report by the Inquisitr, three suspects have been identified in the Paris shooting. The attackers were caught on video and they executed French police officers. Howard Dean claims that calling the shooters “Muslim terrorists” is wrong, although both Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens would disagree.

Although no organization has officially claimed responsibility for the Charlie Hebdo attack, supporters of ISIS on Twitter have left messages including “our revenge for the messenger (Muhammad),” “Paris is Burning,” “Paris under Fire,” and the “Lions of Tawheed.” A photo posted by Abu Sari al-Iraqi (shown above) shows the black flag of the Islamic State flying over the Eiffel Tower, saying, “We are everywhere.” Another Twitter user claimed the Charlie Hebdo shooting “proves that the Islamic State can strike deep in Europe whenever it wishes.”

In the past, Charlie Hebdo has satirized members of the Islamic State in addition to the Mohammed cartoons, which angered many Muslims since any portrayal of Islam’s prophet is not allowed under Islamic law. For example, one Charlie Hebdo cartoon portrayed portrayed the ISIS leader, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, in a sarcastic light. Another cartoon showed ISIS as being the opposite of Islam by showing a masked man cutting a turbaned victim’s throat while he’s saying, “I am the prophet, you brute.” The killer replies, “Shut your mouth, you infidel.” The cartoon was captioned: “If Mohammad returned…”

When the Charlie Hebdo attack started, Benoit Bringer, a journalist from the agency Premieres Lignes Tele, whose offices are next door, took refuge on the roof and he was able to describe what happened.

“After around ten minutes we saw two heavily armed, masked men in the street. Three policemen arrived by push bike, but they left naturally as the attackers were armed. They got into a car after a few minutes after shouting in the street. There was quite a lot of gunfire in the street for a few minutes. Firemen, ambulances and police vehicles arrived a few minutes later.”

Reports say that the first police officers to arrive on scene were unarmed. According to Donald Trump, the Charlie Hebdo terrorist attack could have been prevented in the first place if France’s gun control laws were not so stringent.

“If the people so violently shot down in Paris had guns, at least they would have had a fighting chance. Isn’t it interesting that the tragedy in Paris took place in one of the toughest gun control countries in the world? Remember, when guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns!”

Do you agree with Donald Trump that gun control laws are a factor in the Charlie Hebdo shooting?
