Meet Selena Gomez’s New Album Collaborators: Zedd, Dreamlab, Ruffian & (Maybe) Maejor Ali

Selena Gomez doesn’t hang about.

The pop princess hit the ground running as she reveals new album collaborators Ruffian, Dreamlab and Zedd.

Into the mix of these is a previous confirmation that the starlet is working with Sia Furler and new talk of sessions with “All About That Bass” producer Maejor Ali. More on that in a bit.

Hot on the heels of the still continuing chart and critical success after dropping the Justin Bieber-inspired epic “The Heart Wants What It Wants” on November 6, after Thanksgiving the Disney alum announced she was returning to the studio to record her new album over the next four months.

The frankly confessional “Heart” is the lead single on Selena’s “Greatest Hits” album For You, which rolled out the day after her emotional live debut of the song at the American Music Awards. It’s currently hot at radio and is No. 6 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart.

Since then, the 22-year-old has documented the process and her ongoing collaborations with a series of Instagram pics. On Monday, December 1, Gomez posted a filtered selfie up close to a microphone, alongside which she wrote the following.

“What the next 4 months will look like. — Even in my hotel rooms. You guys, I’m beyond excited for what’s next. #2015.”

Four days later, Selena teased her legion of Selenators with a shot of her in the studio with the Dreamlab production/songwriting duo — Daniel James and Leah Haywood — and the L.A.-based producer, Ruffian.

Dreamlab go way back with the star, working on previous songs, “Hit The Lights,” “Like A Champion” and “Write Your Name.” Ruffian, who is a songwriter/producer, comes from a background of working with indie-pop acts and DJs, Idolator notes.

“Le @tapehead_ @leahhaywood @robellmore,” read SelGo’s caption.

And the actress-singer wasn’t done.

Next in collaborator reveals was Interscope label-mate Zedd, the Grammy Award-winning, classically-trained EDM, house, and pop wizard.

His most recent hit was as producer and co-writer on Ariana Grande’s chart-topping single “Break Free.”

We have to say: the photo, which was simply tagged to “zedd” without a caption, is pretty sparky, mood-wise.

Another gorgeous color shot of Selena at the mic followed.

More reveals came from Ruffian and Daniel James, which definitely suggests they are all holed up in the same studio location.

“Creeping hard @zedd,” Ruffian wrote by a shot of the Russian-German native.

Daniel shared a time-lapse video showing a in-progess group vocal session with Selena.

“Gang-Vox-Lapse? @selenagomez @leahhaywood @ashley_cook #breakinheels,” James wrote.

Which brings Selena’s studio journey up to this week.

On Monday, the Latina posted stunning shot of herself on the way to the music lab.

“road trip to the studio,” read the self-explanatory caption.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, vocalist and songwriter Sia — who has a string of hits to her name and is a friend of the Spring Breakers star — confirmed she has written songs for SelGo in a French radio interview a while ago.

Before the AMAs, Selena posted an exuberant pic of the two girls aboard a private jet, with a caption more or less also confirming the Australian talent is part of her Interscope debut.

“Sia bia #2015,” read the note.

Of that aforementioned Maejor-Selena news. Responding to a random fan’s Twitter query on Tuesday asking if Ali would collaborate with the starlet, the producer/artist said the pair had talked about it and would do so if time allows.

Ali, who is a close pal of Bieber, was the lead artist on their collaborative 2013 track “Lolly” with rapper Juicy J. He has produced many hits for other artists.

It’s likely Selena will collaborate with Rock Mafia again after the success of “Heart,” which they co-wrote and produced, so expect to see more Instagram reveals over the next three weeks.

During pre-AMAs interviews with radio stations, the starlet talked about the direction of her new album.

Speaking to Gillian and HaZe with 98.7 Amp Detroit, SelGo revealed the following.

“It’s exciting for me to start off with something like the ‘Heart.'” She added, “and then start leading into writing about all the other things that are going on in my life and have gone on in the past year or so.”

Selena continued, “I’m excited to put more of my heart and soul into the next chapter of [my] music.”

“@selenagomez deep in voxland. #killingit #nootoons.”
