Fredrik Eklund Thanks Husband For Career Support, Announces Baby Plans

Fredrik Eklund has had quite the year in business. He has shared his listings on Instagram and has been quick to celebrate when big deals have gone through. And fans will get to see most of the deals on Million Dollar Listing: New York, as the fourth season has been in production for the last couple of months. In addition, Fredrik has written his first book, The Sell, which is scheduled to be released next year.

This week, Fredrik Eklund announced that his team at Douglas Elliman has racked up more commissions this year than anyone else in the company’s 103-year history. In other words, Eklund is setting some serious real estate records in New York. And he was eager to share the news with his followers.

According to a new Bravo report, Million Dollar Listing: New York star Fredrik Eklund is revealing that he remains the top real-estate agent in New York, beating out his co-stars Luis D. Ortiz and Ryan Serhant. On the reunion special last year, Andy Cohen pointed out that Fredrik was indeed selling much more than his co-stars. But rather than competitors, Eklund may be friends with his co-stars, according to the Inquisitr.

“It’s an amazing company that keeps renewing itself over and over again,” Eklund shared on Instagram, adding, “So I want you to know you are following not only the number one agent in NYC, but the number one agent in NYC this century.”

Eklund is now revealing that he wouldn’t have been able to reach this record without the support of his husband, artist Derek Kaplan.

“He is just amazing giving me business guidance in all of this and the charities we support, so down to earth and grounded when it comes to the larger, difficult decisions, you know the ones that really make us propel to the next level (always challenging in the moment but define us long term),” Fredrik Eklund has revealed about Derek.

Fans of the show saw how Eklund was heartbroken over Derek’s comments about their future together. While Fredrik really wanted a baby girl, Kaplan was questioning whether they would be able to make it work. He thought that Fredrik’s busy work schedule would be enough for them to get a divorce. But it sounds like they have talked things through.

“We have so much to celebrate, and yes, we are going to have kids and we are moving forward (!!!) and with that said we need to capture some last romantic getaways for just two… I’m so glad I gave it some time, waiting isn’t my strong side, but we are now both ready. Anyway, we are sending you much love from paradise,” Fredrik recently shared on Instagram, adding the name “Milla” to the post.

It is no secret that Eklund has always dreamed about having a little girl with blue eyes and brown long hair. On the show, he often said that he already had the name Milla picked out. Perhaps this dream will happen sooner rather than later.
