Robert Downey Jr Confirms Birth Of First Daughter In The Cutest Way Possible

Many people would agree that Robert Downey Jr. is a creative genius — especially when it comes to his clever Facebook posts and hilarious tweets.

The 49-year-old actor was able to announce the birth of his third child to the rest of the world through his official Facebook page on Wednesday.

Instead of just mentioning that the child was born or quickly flashing a picture of his new child behind held by his wife, Robert Downey Jr. decided to showcase his creative writing skills. How so? Robert Downey Jr. described the birth of his third child (and the second child with his wife, Susan) the same way that you would announce the filming and release of a new movie in theaters.

“After 9 months of intensive development, Team Downey is pleased to announce our 2014 fall/winter project. Principal photography commenced 11-14 and will continue until she says, “Dad! You are embarrassing me…I’m 30, this has gotta stop.”

Once he had a moment to let the hilariousness die down, Robert Downey Jr. then followed up his funny message with a more formal announcement — introducing his third child, Avri Roel Downey, to the world.

“Yep… Avri Roel Downey joined the party @ 3:22 a.m. on November 4th…she’s 7lbs even, spans 20 inches, and is accompanied by a variety of Susan’s traits that have seemingly overwritten my ‘junk DNA.'”

In classic Robert Downey Jr. fashion, however, the funny side followed the formal side yet again when he wrapped his message up with perhaps the cutest statement of all time that many other fathers will more than likely copy and repeat when their new bundles of joy are born.

“I’ll post pics here + there when I’m not too busy staring…”

Robert Downey Jr. and his wife, Susan, were married in August of 2005, according to People. They welcomed their first child, Exton, into the world on February 7, 2012. Robert Downey Jr. also has a 21-year-old son (Indio) from his previous marriage to Deborah Falconer which ended in divorce in April of 2004. Perhaps the fact that Avri Roel Downey is Robert’s first daughter makes it that much more special — which is why Robert Downey Jr. is going to be “staring” for so long. As soon as the news was announced, many of RDJ’s fans and critics expressed their thoughts about the expansion of “Team Downey” on Twitter.
