Calum Hood Posts A Hilarious Story He Wrote At 6 Years Old

Calum Hood, the bassist from the Australian rock band 5 Seconds of Summer, has been making the news lately for all kinds of bizarre reasons, including an embarrassing nude photo scandal and the good-natured response from his band mates. Something else from Calum Hood’s personal life has been released this week, but it’s a lot more innocent than the Snapchat video of Calum’s crotch.

According to MTV News, Calum Hood has shared a story he wrote in his childhood. As you might expect, the story is strange, adorable, and full of hilarious errors. The snippet is titled “A Story by Calum T Hood” and was written on July 7 in 2002. Calum was only 6-years-old. The story is about a lonely turtle who lives inside a cave and eventually (and inexplicably) blows up. Like many young boys, Calum clearly had a dark sense of humor.

Calum shared a photo of the printed story on his Twitter account yesterday, captioning it, “My parents knew even from a young age I was some sort of Shakespeare virtuoso.”

There was a turtle how lived in side a big big Cave and had no

family. It had

A hard shell it was my turtle In the

Cave it had a dark Cave too It was too dark you coldent see

Becase the turtle was to small it was

Smalla then a bug The turtle

It had a bom on it and it blowd up.

Calum Hood appears to have a fondness for turtles, despite the violent ending. Later on in his life, Calum would go on to perform in 5 Seconds of Summer in a ninja turtle costume.

Despite their stage antics and scandals, Calum Hood’s band has been doing better than ever. According to Unreality TV, when Calum and his band mates returned from their tour in Mexico, they were completely mobbed by female fans expecting photos and autographs. The guys were gracious enough to stop for a bit to give the fans what they wanted, but now they’ve got some down time with their friends and family to unwind after the tour.
