Great For Cooking, Not Great for Driving: In-Car Microwave

Drivers can now enjoy hot meals without needing to stop the car with an in-car microwave.

The 12V appliance plugs into a car’s cigarette lighter and can reheat food or cook a full family meal. Relying on 12V though doesn’t make for quick cooking, but if you just can’t wait, the microwave can be hooked up directly to the car battery…presumably not while driving the car, for double the cooking speed.

According to The Daily Mail, the company selling the device say that ‘You no longer have to worry about searching for places to eat as the microwave ensures you can plan your day as you want to and eat when you’re hungry ‘It gives you the flexibility and freedom to enjoy hot food wherever and whenever you wish.’

In-car service has a new meaning. The In-Car Microwave is available in the UK for £130 ($189), although we found one site selling it for as low as £69.
