Tripwolf Launches

European travel destination Tripwolf has launched after an extensive closed beta.

Tripwolf is a social travel guide and trip planner that allows users to “feel” a destination when trip planning, and adds social recommendations to the mix as well. Advice and recommendations are made by users who have traveled to each destination, or by locals, and socially each user can obtain highly personalized travel recommendations from friends, peers and like-minded travelers. Users can create new locations, upload and edit content, and then share their favorite places from around the world with friends.

The site comes with the backing of European travel guide giant MairDumont, Europe’s largest publisher of travel guides including Baedeker, Dumont and Marco Polo, who have also offered their entire catalog of over 200,000 articles for free use on the site.
