All WWE video gamers from around the world are awaiting this year’s edition of the WWE 2K video game. IGN came out with an article today that went into detail about the “Story mode,” as well as the first screenshot for WWE 2K15.
“According to IGN.com, WWE 2K15 will have a story and career mode this year. The game which boasts five times the animation of 2K14, improved commentary and sound has kept many of it’s game modes a closely guarded secret until now. The story mode, while details are still sketchy will be focused on historic moments, think 30 years of WrestleMania for 2K14 but more up-close-and-personal for 2K15.”
Along with the new storyline, John Cena tweeted about his appearance in the WWE 2K15 video game.

2K has done a wonderful job at creating the best video game on the market, NBA 2K14. That series alone wins “Game of the Year” awards every single year. The graphics out-perform any video game created in the sports department. Not only that, this year’s “Career Mode” with your created player is simply magnificent.
The work 2K put into last year’s WWE 2K14 video game was stellar as well. With the addition of the PS4 and Xbox One, better graphics and excellent fluidity will have a lot to do with this year’s game. Remember, on a next-gen system, more must be done with the extended capabilities.
A story which the Inquisitr published about last week dealt with a roster leak that included CM Punk. The roster will be revealed the weekend of SummerSlam, but GameFAQ’s claimed to have gotten a roster from the August edition of GameInformer magazine. If that is the case, each fan will be able to play as the “Best in the World” in WWE 2K15.
With the WWE schedule about to hit full stride for the Summer, the hype for WWE 2K15 is at its highest peak. Cena is the cover boy for this year’s game, so the popularity of his name alone will appeal to the slightest of fans. Last year, the Rock dawned the cover, and with 2K’s first crack at a wrestling video game, they hit a grand slam.
Look out for Sting’s first appearance in a WWE video game, as well as the enhanced roster with NXT being heavily involved. After all of the hints given by 2K and IGN, it will be the greatest roster in WWE video game history. WWE 2K15 will be available to the U.S. on October 28 and October in Europe.
