Nigerian Singer Offers Virginity To Boko Haram For Kidnapped Girls

Nigerian pop singer Adokiye Kyrian recently told the country’s Vanguard newspaper that she was willing to give her virginity to the Islamist group Boko Haram, offering herself up in trade for nearly 300 kidnapped girls who are still missing.

“I wish I could offer myself in exchange,” Adokiye said, according to Time. The pop singer, who describes herself as an Imo State Peace Ambassador, recently shocked fans by admitting that she is a virgin. Adokiye, who previously asked Vanguard “Haven’t you seen a pretty virgin before?” while adding “Any man that buys my mum the private jet I had promised her, wins my heart,” now says that she is willing to give herself freely in exchange for the girls, who were abducted by Boko Haram earlier this year from Chibok.

Adokiye made the admonition in an interview with Vanguard’s Showtime magazine, reportedly saying “This is 11pm in the night and do you know what I am thinking about? Those little girls, where they are and what could be happening to them. It is just unfair. They are too young.”

“Even if 10 to 12 men have to take me every night, I don’t care,” the singer said, according to The Huffington Post UK, adding “Just release these girls and let them go back to their parents.” Describing herself as “more experienced,” Adokiye pointed out that the young women “are between 12 and 15-year-old girls for Christ’s sake.”

Boko Haram abducted the girls in April, sparking international outcry and a worldwide social media campaign, organized with the hashtag #bringbackourgirls. As The Inquisitr previously reported, Boko Haram, an Islamist militant group, threatened Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan, telling him “we are in your city,” after the abductions and related bombings.

Despite the fact that media attention has waned over the intervening months, the kidnapped girls have yet to be found. In May, Boko Haram released a video of the girls, which showed them praying together. Abubakar Shekau, the leader of Boko Haram, claimed at the time that many of the girls had converted to Islam, and threatened to treat those who had not converted “well the way the prophet treated the infidels he seized.”

A Nigerian military official claimed to know where Boko Haram was holding the girls later in May, while President Jonathan announced to the country in June that he had ordered a “full-scale operation to put an end to the impunity of terrorists on our soil.”

Boko Haram has yet to respond to Adokiye’s offer of her virginity.
