Fan Tackles Seau During Patriots Game (VIDEO)

A Patriots fan is facing criminal charges for allegedly tackling Patriots linebacker Junior Seau during Sunday night’s game at Foxboro Stadium.

Todd Kobus is accused of charging onto the sidelines during the game’s fourth quarter and tackling Seau to the ground. Kobus — who says he’s a member of the National Guard, according to New England media reports — told a judge today he’s a huge fan and simply meant to give Kobus a hug. Police believe he had been drinking.

Kobus is charged with trespassing and assault and battery. He is scheduled to be back in court on February 17. The Patriots have also pulled his season tickets.
