Lana Del Rey To Perform At Kim And Kanye’s Wedding [Rumor]
Did Lana Del Rey agree to perform at Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s wedding? According to reports, the singer is making the trip overseas to participate in the epic event.
If you’ve been squirreled away under a rock over the past several months, then you’re probably a little shocked that the rapper and the reality television star are preparing to skip down the aisle this summer. To mark the occasion, songstress Lana Del Rey was reportedly tapped to belt out a tune at some point during the ceremony.
According to SFGate, Lana Del Rey isn’t performing at the wedding out of the kindness of her heart. The website reports that the singer brought home an extremely healthy six-figure paycheck to help Kim and Kanye celebrate their big day.
“Kanye knew how much Kim loved Lana’s music, which is why he tried to get her to perform at the proposal. So he upped the offer to perform at the wedding and told Lana that it’s his and Kim’s special song and it would mean so much to have her perform it. She couldn’t say no,” an anonymous source recently told the Mirror.
The Inquisitr reported last year that Kanye West tried his very best to get the acclaimed singer involved when he popped the big question. However, insiders claimed that Lana ultimately decided to pass on the offer.
“Lana politely declined, and didn’t give any reason for not being able to perform. It was a very firm no from Lana and her camp. Kanye did try to push it, but didn’t get anywhere. Kanye decided to hire an orchestra to perform the song for Kim, and he was much happier with how it turned out,” someone explained to Radar Online last November.
Despite the reports from these less-than-reliable sources, Lana Del Rey said there was absolutely no truth to the headlines. According to the singer, Kanye West never approached her to perform during the event.
“I would never deny his request. That’s not true,” Lana Del Rey told a throng of reporters shortly after the rumors started making the rounds.
