Mick Foley Updates Facebook After Announcement Tease

As The Inquisitr reported yesterday, wrestling legend Mick Foley promised big news today on Facebook — and we’re still waiting.

Earlier, Mick Foley posted to his official page with a tease regarding a major announcement and kicked the speculation train into high gear.

In the initial post, Foley hinted at having reached a major crossroads and promised all would be revealed this afternoon — Tuesday.

Originally he said:

“After giving the matter much thought, I have come to an important decision regarding my future. I know that not everyone will agree with, or support the decision, but I do hope the decision will be respected. I will make the announcement on Tuesday afternoon.”

In the initial Inquisitr post on the Mick Foley Facebook speculation, Addam suggested:

“The basis of the original speculation about Foley joining Jarrett and Co. on the new GFW project came from a guest appearance he gave on a Global Force Wrestling promotional video. It was already known that the two men were well acquainted as they worked together in TNA from 2008-2011… So for now it is all still rumors, but most people reckon that Foley will be announcing that he has reached an agreement to work with GFW in order to help Jarrett get his pro wrestling promotion moving.”

However, it should be noted that wrestling isn’t all Foley has been trying his hand at in recent years — the pro wrestler has also done some stand-up comedy, and has said:

“It is a wrestling-centered storytelling show, but it’s accessible to non-fans as well. For wrestling fans, there’s no need to worry about me embarrassing myself with set-ups and punch lines, and for non-fans, they’ll have a much better time than they’re expecting. If they’re dragged against their will by a loved one, they will end up having a very good time.”

Foley also recently discussed the new generation of pro wrestling stars, saying:

“I love the new talent. I think they’ve done a great job at the WWE. For all the flack they sometimes get for bringing in guys from the past to headline shows they’ve done this amazing job of making huge new stars from the developmental area. They come in and they really have faith and realize that building guys is a process that doesn’t happen overnight.”

So, what does he have to tell us? So far today — it’s still morning — Mick Foley has not revealed his big secret.

He did, however, take time to notice that his tease has made headlines, and said:
