Sexy Sofía Vergara’s Vintage Swimsuit Photos Emerge

Sofía Vergara sure knows how to work it after all of these years. The 41-year-old Modern Family star is known for her curvaceous figure and natural beauty, and it looks like Vergara has always had the “it” factor.

Vintage photos of the beauty have emerged from a 1992 photo shoot. At the time, Vergara was only 20-years-old but it looks like she had her signature confidence to work her curves. Captured in a one piece bathing suit, Sofía was photographed in Salgara, Colombia just four months after she gave birth to her son, Manolo.

In one photo we see Sofía with her signature red lips and her hair naturally swept by the wind as she poses in a floral patterned bathing suit, with very 90s-looking jeans gathered at her thighs. It’s a typical sexy image, and it looks like the photographer was framing Sofía in a Cindy Crawford-type pin-up, which really works for the then-aspiring actress.

In the second photo we see Sofía Vergara standing confidently in a polka dot bathing suit, with a matching cap that’s on sideways as she looks out into the ocean breeze. This photo features the oddest strategically placed beach ball we’ve ever seen, but somehow Vergara seems to pull it all together.

That said, Sofia Vergara is more than just a radiant beauty. She’s currently the highest paid female star on television for her Emmy-nominated role as Gloria, the sassy Latina on ABC’s Modern Family. Even though her looks get a lot of attention, it seems like Vergara is pretty level-headed and knows exactly how the industry thinks in terms of stereotypes.

The actress recently told Glam Belleza Latina that there’s more to being sexy than one stereotype.

“I think that the concept of being sexy and smart is difficult for many to grasp. Most people are more comfortable with the notion of ‘sexy bimbo.’ And I have to admit that I’ve capitalized on that to negotiate a couple of times, when the ‘smart ones’ think I have no idea what I can deliver, and I end up costing them more.”

This isn’t the first time Vergara has given her opinion on being a sex symbol. The actress has often said that her sex symbol status doesn’t bother her, “Latina characters are usually sexy and voluptuous on screen, but then that’s just how Latin women are.”
