Former child star Tatum O’Neal is back with a new memoir detailing her her dysfunctional relationship with her father, her infamous drug arrest in New York in 2008, her marriage to tennis star John McEnroe, and everything else that her first book, A Paper Life, didn’t tell us.

Scheduled for release tomorrow, June 21st,  Found: A Daughter’s Journey Home is timed to coincide with her new documentary series, Ryan & Tatum: The O’Neals, which will premiered this past Sunday on OWN (Oprah’s New TV Network).

Apparently the show, which covers the attempts by Tatum and her father Ryan to reconcile a relationship, was inspired by the late Farrah Fawcett- who Ryan O’neal left his family in 1979 to be with.

“That[Fawcett's death] was the last thing to help to soften my resolve and help make a relationship work and help build the bond back,” Tatum explained. “And that was before the show was even a possibility.”

Although O’Neal’s debut memoir Paper Life was a best seller, she admitted that it wasn’t even remotely healing and upon it’s completion she was still broken. Hopefully for the star, healing will come with ‘Found’ as she plans on revealing “everything. The truth. The struggle. The hope. The love. I believe it is the right thing to do.”

I think Tatum O'Neal is actually a wonderful woman, despite her failed marriage, drug abuse, and inconsistency to her career! I also think Ryan O'Neal deep down is great man, despite some of the horror (and terrible) stories that Tatum has acknowledged! Ryan and Tatum, if you are reading this, I truly hope things work out well for you! It's time to start healing and it's time to move on to what will hopefully be the start of a beautiful friendship (Quote from Bogie in Casablanca, hehe)! And this is coming from a 23 year old fan of both, especially pop culture history! Tatum: The Bad News Bear (1976), Little Darlings (1980) Ryan: Barry Lyndon (1975), Irreconcilable Differences (1984).

P.S: If you really are reading this, I have to say you were (and still are) one of the most beautifullest girls I have ever seen. Keep up the good work! You're the best!

I keep watching the show hoping the both of them will GROW UP! Tatum is like a spoiled brat that feels like she is owed…Ryan is selfish and feels he is owed…Gosh. I grew up with a father that beat me all the time…Ya know, sometime you have to get over it…love yourself and get on with your life. All I hear from Tatum, is WHY no room for me…me…me…she is 50…leave it alone and be happy.
