Miley Cyrus Planning Big Acoustic Set For Bangerz Tour

Miley Cyrus is getting back to her musical roots.

The “Wrecking Ball” signer wants to prove that there’s more to her career than just twerking, wrecking balls, and nudity. During her upcoming world tour, Cyrus will close out her 90-minute shows with a lengthy acoustic set.

“My set’s about 90 minutes but my acoustic set that I’m doing can go on for as long as I want so it really kind of depends on the city and how involved, how good the audience is. If I can tell that they’re into it, and they’re one of the cities that loves some acoustic, more stripped down (material), then I could literally play as many songs as I want,” she said.

The singer added, “I want people to walk around and go, ‘Okay, she did some things that were crazy, but at the end of the day it was really about her voice.’ I really want to stay focused on that. But I definitely have some crazy props to enter and exit on.”

Miley Cyrus isn’t exclusively performing material from her best-selling album Bangerz. The former Hannah Montana star said she intends to sprinkle the set with new and old tracks. If there’s something you want to hear from her pre-twerking days, then there’s a fair chance you might hear it.

Regardless of what songs pour out of the singer’s mouth during the Bangerz tour, Miley Cyrus intends to give her fans one of the best shows on the planet. In addition to putting together an elaborate stage show with some pretty nifty costumes, she plans to drop all sorts of collectible trinkets on the audience during her performance.

Instead of making you empty your wallet at the merchandise table, Cyrus intends to just give a lot of stuff away. You might have to fight the person next to you for some of it, but at least you won’t have to part with any more money.

“I want to give [my fans] real things they can collect. I’m a little bit of a hoarder. It’s my mom’s worst nightmare. [And] I hope my fans become hoarders also [so] I’m giving a lot of junk away [at the shows]… I’ll have things falling out of the sky that most people would sell at the merch table,” Cyrus explained earlier this year.

The singer continued, “My thing has never been about me making money. I did [that] when I was a kid. I made the money I needed to make and now it’s about putting money into the tour and making sure my fans get the best show… [making] it worth going to see.”
