Austin Mahone Rocks A Blonde Afro In The ‘Mmm Yeah’ Music Video [Watch]

Austin Mahone is getting a little taste of the 70s in his recent music video.

Although the teenage singer wasn’t a twinkle in his parents’ eyes during the days of disco, bell bottom pants, and oversized afros, this isn’t stopping the “Banga Banga” singer from hopping in the time machine for “Mmm Yeah.” Check out the video below.

To get everyone adequately prepared for his long-awaited debut album, Mahone has dropped a trio of singles on the masses. While “What About Love” seemed to hit all the right notes, some folks weren’t overly impressed with “Banga Banga.” Your enjoyment of “Mmm Yeah” depends greatly on your tolerance for 70s-inspired tomfoolery.

Now that we’re on Austin Mahone’s third single, when can fans expect to get the full album? Unfortunately, the singer doesn’t have a release date hammered out as of this writing. Of course, that isn’t stopping the guy from spreading the good word about the upcoming songs.

“I worked with RedOne and I thought [the album] was going to be all RedOne stuff, but I worked with Max Martin and Sean Garrett, and I think the album is gonna have a lot of different types of songs on there, but I think it’s going to come together real nice and I’m excited to put it out,” the singer explained last year.

Mahone continued, “[There’s] not an exact date, but I’m working on it right now so it should be out around maybe February or January, somewhere around there. I feel like it’s working out because the more time we have, the more songs I record. So there’s going to be better songs on the album.”

Of course, January has come and gone at this point and there still isn’t a release date to speak of right now. It’s truly anyone’s guess at this point when Mahone’s full-length debut will hit retail. Since the album format is pretty much dead at this stage in the game, Austin could theoretically make a tidy income off digital singles for the rest of his life.

When Austin Mahone isn’t working on his new album, he’s contending with rumors that he and Selena Gomez are getting romantic. Although a source claimed the pair recently started dating, the singer recently explained that he’s simply friend with Justin Bieber’s ex-girlfriend.

“We’re just friends. She’s really cool. I mean, I think she’s really pretty but every time I’m in L.A., she’s like ‘Hey you’re in L.A., lets hang out,” he said.
