Kate Beckinsale didn’t feel she needed to be nominated for a 2014 Grammy Award in order to be invited to the Warner Music Group after-party. So she just showed up, because Kate can do things like that.
Not only did she turn up, she turned up looking stunning in a ruched bandeau mini-dress made by Rubin Singer, an elegant Ferragamo clutch and a pair of Stuart Weitzman high-heel sandals.
The only issue with the chic high-heeled shoes were that they seemed to be at least one size to small for Kate Beckinsale. The effect was that one of her toes protruded over the end of the shoe giving a bit of an awkward finish to her otherwise stunning ensemble.
Her dress, as you can see in the image above, had a lovely red and black floral design which complimented her slim waist and long legs.
Kate Beckinsale isn’t what you’d call obsessed with fashion but she does pride herself on looking good.
She said about her dress sense: “I do like clothes. I prefer to be on the Best Dressed list than any other list. But the truth is it’s not my goal in life. ‘I’m a big fan of the old Hollywood stars — very classic looking. I loved the way Ava Gardner dressed, very poised and feminine. I played her in ‘The Aviator’ and adored wearing her beautiful fitted dresses. She was very curvaceous. I envy those curves.”
What do you think about the way Kate Beckinsale dresses? Did you like the floral bottom-skimming dress she wore to the Warner Grammy Awards after-party? And what about her little “faux pas” with her shoes which were definitely a size to small?
