Mazaradi Fox, Former G-Unit Member, Shot Dead In Queens

Mazaradi Fox, a former member of the 50 Cent’s rap group G-Unit, was shot dead on Friday afternoon in Queens, NY. According to police, Mazaradi Fox (aka Jamal Green) was riding in a SUV with several others when an unidentified person in a ski mask opened fire on the vehicle. Fox, 42, was the only casualty. One man was left in critical condition, another man suffered a gunshot wound to the arm, and a woman was grazed in the neck.

This is the second rapper to be shot dead since Christmas. On December 28, 2103, Doe B, a member of the Hustle Gang rap group, was shot dead in a club in his hometown of Montgomery, AL. It was later discovered that the shooter had appeared in one of Doe B’s music videos. He was only 22.

Mazaradi Fox had been very tight with 50 Cent while a part of the G-Unit. He was signed to the G-Unit label in 2007. Fox had been serving a two year sentence in prison for an attempted assault. He was just released on December 20, 2013 before being shot dead on January 3, 2014. The Jamaica, Queens native was also convicted of attempted murder in 1998.

50 Cent, Fox’s childhood friend, responded to the news on Twitter.

Once again, violence takes the life of another rapper. RIP Mazaradi Fox.
