If you saw WWE SummerSlam , you are well aware that the night was full of surprises and cool stuff. While the four-hour show may not have been as good as the NXT Takeover event the night before that had half the matches, it was still well worth seeing due to the show’s main matches. In between all of that, we had a random tag match involving a celebrity. Most hated the idea of bringing in a celebrity to wrestle, as most tend to not be very exciting. However, this was not the case when it came to Arrow star Stephen Amell.
Stephen Amell plays the Green Arrow on the CW Series, Arrow . The show is entering it’s fourth season, which will debut in October. It is one of the most popular shows on television, and one most anyone loves when they finally sit down to watch it. For those that know Amell, you know that he is very good about keeping his fans up to date. He has a Facebook and Twitter account that he runs himself. Facebook is especially something he enjoys using to talk with fans from a personal standpoint.
He updates these pages with his workout routines that he calls “superhero workouts.” He’s not too far off, as he does some amazing things in the videos. Most know that he does a good bit of his own stunts on Arrow . So, it made all the sense in the world to think that he would be pretty fun to watch at SummerSlam . He lived up to expectations from his appearance on WWE RAW weeks prior to the actual event.
According to Cageside Seats , WWE was said to have been very impressed by Amell and they are open to potentially having him back in the future. The idea is that they left the door open for a return when they had Neville get the pinfall over King Bad News of Barrett.
Stephen Amell mentioned in an interview after the match that he didn’t know if it was over with Stardust yet. So WWE can easily dive back into this whenever they feel they can do so. Right now, there is no update on when the two could lock up once again. However, it would not be surprising if WWE tried to make it happen at some point next year.
Due to Stephen Amell’s schedule with Arrow among other projects, it is tough to say an exact date. He was said to have loved being with WWE and since WWE liked him as well, it looks like they will work together again in the future.
