Will indoor electric grills revolutionize the way people barbecue? Is the cook-out soon to be a thing of the past and will a cook-in take its place? Indoor grills are here and the response is great. People love them for their ease, convenience and deliciously grilled food without the work. Is the barbecue soon to be a thing of the past?

Barbecue season typically begins on Memorial Day , also known as the unofficial start of summer. Family and friends gather for barbecues and cookouts throughout the summer months with special focus on the Fourth of July. The grilling season continues throughout August and typically ends in September. Many put away the white shoes and pack up the grills after Labor Day as they prepare for autumn. What if people could grill year round? With indoor grills that isn’t as crazy as it might sound.

You can plug an electric grill outside on a patio or in an outdoor kitchen, but the real benefit is grilling indoors. One indoor grill getting plenty of attention is the award-winning SilKEN grill by Kenyon. Thrillist reviewed the grill in a piece that’s drawing plenty of attention. They demonstrated how you can barbecue in the office and suggested it might be a good choice for college students. You may see several reviews about the SilKEN grill below and discover why this indoor grill is not only winning awards, but making people worldwide very happy .

The indoor grill is capable of handling more cooking than your standard barbecue favorites. What’s most exciting about this grill, is instead of taking out the frying pan to cook your steak or burgers, you can fire up your grill (by plugging it in) and in minutes have perfectly grilled meat. Even the sear lines you are accustomed to appear on your grilled food. There’s no charcoal or gas, no smoke (the indoor electric grill is smokeless) and it’s as easy to use as an electric skillet.

According to Casual Living , Kenyon designed the SilKEN grill for boaters . Though it’s a huge success in the boating world, it’s also a top choice for apartment dwellers.

Those who live in apartments are often prohibited from grilling due to fire hazards. Some complexes might have an outdoor area designed for grilling, but this involves everyone taking the party to another location. Those who live in apartments can have all the fun of an outdoor barbecue without needing to leave the building. There is no question that an indoor grill provides solutions for problems apartment dwellers face when celebrating major holidays like Memorial Day, the Fourth of July and Labor Day.

The greatest advantage to an indoor grill like the SilKEN, is that you can barbecue anywhere you have an electric outlet. The grill is small enough that it’s portable. The lid is collapsible and you don’t have to worry about detaching it to store. The parts that combine the grill are dishwasher friendly, and keeping the grill in mint condition is easy. The ability to bring your grill with you, plug it in, and barbecue is priceless. The reviews are coming quickly, and to date, no one who has used the grill has given a negative review.

Do you think indoor electric grills are going to change the way people barbecue? Imagine gathering together with family and friends for an outdoor barbecue then it rains. Usually the fun is over and the food is often ruined. With indoor grills you don’t have to worry about the weather spoiling your fun or your meal. While the SilKEN may have been designed to help boaters on the water enjoy barbecuing, the grill is growing in popularity. Are outdoor grills soon to become a thing of the past?
