Victoria Prince is not very much like Kevin Federline’s last wife.
Federline and his longtime girlfriend, Prince, were married this weekend in a surprise ceremony in Las Vegas . It may have been a surprise conclusion, but it came after a long and slow-building relationship, much the opposite of Federline’s quickie marriage to Spears in 2004.
After the high-profile and ultimately short-lived marriage to Brittney Spears, Federline moved on to a relationship with Prince, a 30-year-old who prefers to keep out of the public eye .
While Spears was a chart-topping pop sensation in her teenage years, Victoria Prince was living a quiet life in the small town of Kennewick, Washington. Her mother was a national sales manager while her father was an electrician, and Victoria grew up in a home with two brothers and a sister.
Prince was also something of a jock in high school. She excelled on the volleyball court, and was good enough to get recruited to Washington State University.
Victoria ended up transferring to the University of Hawaii at Manoa, but, even after graduating with a bachelor of arts degree in speech, she continued her volleyball career. After college she competed against Olympic stars Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh.
The relationship between Prince and Federline seemed to be moving toward marriage. Victoria was often seen with his children, including his two boys with Brittney Spears. Victoria even spent some time with the Spears family, meeting her parents and sister Jamie Lynn’s daughter during Brittney’s Circus tour in 2009.
Even though they had been together for close to five years, the marriage proposal came as a bit of a surprise to Victoria Prince. Kevin had told her that they were going to Las Vegas for work, but then surprised her with the proposal instead. The wedding took place in the Hard Rock Hotel penthouse on Saturday night.
The couple got married just before the second birthday of their daughter, Jordan Kay .
Kevin Federline’s plan seemed to work, as Victoria Prince had no idea about the proposal or wedding Kevin had planned. Afterward, she said: “For the first time in my life, I got a taste of heaven!”
