Transformers 4 star Kelsey Grammer recently took a moment to discuss the character he will be playing in Michael Bay’s upcoming sequel.

The former Frasier star is among the many familiar faces the filmmaker and the folks at Paramount Pictures have assembled for the next installment of the franchise. Grammer is all set to portray Harlod Attinger in Age of Extinction .

During his chat with Empire magazine, Kelsey Grammer dropped a few juicy details about his character. Judging from his description, Attinger could be a problem for the transforming robots in the next installment.

“He’s a no-nonsense guy, He’s lived his life in the shadows for 30 years in the service of his country, and he likes to be unremarkable yet very efficient,” Grammer explained.

The actor also took a moment to discuss working with Pain and Gain director Michael Bay . Although Grammer wasn’t sure if Bay had seen any episodes of Frasier , the filmmaker definitely seems to understand the guy’s natural abilities.

“He’s been very respectful and funny. He’s a terrific guy and quite a filmmaker. He just said to me the other day, ‘You’re Kelsey Grammer — you can do whatever you want to do.’ So I guess he at least has some acquaintance with my work,” the actor recently told the publication.

The Cheers alum isn’t the only big name attached to star in Transformers: Age of Extinction . Also on-board for the project are Mark Wahlberg, Jack Reynor, Nicola Peltz, Stanley Tucci, Sophia Myles, Li Bingbing, T.J. Miller, Han Geng, and Titus Welliver.

According to Lorenzo di Bonaventura, the Dinobots are also confirmed for the next Transformers flick. Although he couldn’t spill too many details about their involvement, the producer said they would definitely make an appearance in the flick.

“I can not disclose the specifics, but you can be sure that the joining of the Dinobots will give the audience new excitement. The world’s coolest, most exciting cars will appear in the film, including China’s vehicles,” di Bonaventura explained.

Transformers 4 is scheduled to hit theaters on June 27, 2014.
