Jeff Hardy has always been known to do some dangerous things while in the ring or flying above it, but this one may have beaten them all. During the Friday night taping for Impact Wrestling , Hardy took a fall from the top of the cage, landed on the steel ring steps, and got knocked out.

TMZ reported that the fall happened during the taping at the Manhattan Center in New York.

Hardy was up on top of the cage and knocked down — crotch-first — onto the door of the cage surrounding the ring. He was then hit with a cowbell and fell off the cage door to the floor below, but he landed on the steel ring steps before stopping.

It was not a pretty looking fall, either.

WrestleZone reported that the match was taking place during the taping of TNA Lockdown, where all matches take place inside the six-sides of steel cages.

A fan in attendance said that announcer Jeremy Borash and crew members were talking about the big fall that Jeff Hardy took. It was overheard that he was, indeed, knocked out at some point and also again backstage.

Hardy ended up being carried out by a few officials after the fall as he couldn’t really take off on his own. While he was being taken backstage, James Storm attacked him, and it’s believed this is the way he will be written out for the upcoming tour of the United Kingdom.

@solomonster since #jeffhardy has a criminal record that prevents him from going

After the taping of Impact Wrestling , which now airs on Destination America and no longer Spike TV, Hardy was checked out by the medical staff in the back. He does have an appointment this upcoming week to get a head scan by a neurologist.

The match ended up going in favor of the Revolution as they were able to defeat the Hardy Boys and retain the TNA tag team championship. Revolution consists of Manik, James Storm, and Sanada.

The crowd wasn’t entirely sure what to make of Jeff Hardy’s fall off the top of the cage, as he’s been known to take huge bumps in the past. Still, this one seemed to be one of the scariest for him and getting knocked out is nothing to take lightly.

Perhaps it’s a good thing that Hardy can’t travel with the company over to the UK so he can make sure his injuries are totally healed up.
