Two months ago, we reported about the epic reunion that took place with the cast of The Wonder Years . Back in May, the cast, including leads Fred Savage, Danica McKellar, Dan Lauria, Alley Mills, Olivia d’Abo, Jason Hervey, and Josh Saviano gathered together for a photo shoot.

Today, the cast of The Wonder Years staged another reunion to talk about the cult hit show, growing up on television, and much more on Good Morning America . Fred Savage, the quintessential star of the show who played Kevin Arnold, described the experience.

“We were so little and so young and it was such a big part of our life. It was half our life at that time, you know?”

For those who don’t know, the television show was popular in the late 80s and early 90s, but was set in the 60s. The show often discussed how radically pop culture was changing within the decade. At the time, the music that was heavily featured such as The Beatles didn’t need clearance to be used on the show. However, that all changed in the 90s with the rise of music piracy. Paying for the music became an astronomical expense, and stalled the DVDs that fans of the show wanted.

Now that The Wonder Years DVD is finally being released, the cast is excited to talk about their memories. As far as a stand out moment, at least for Danica McKellar, it was seeing her first kiss acted out on screen between her character Winnie and Kevin Arnold.

“The one good thing about getting your first kiss on camera is that you know for sure it’s going to happen.”

Savage referred to the moment as “terrifying.”

“We were both really scared and nervous and – and — didn’t know what was going to happen or — if we were going to do it right. I think that all of those things that were kind of happening on the show … all grew out of something very real that was going on between us or in our lives.”

At the time of their first reunion, the cast excitedly shared all of their personal photos on Twitter.

As for whether or not there was any tragic child actor stories to come out of the cast, actor Dan Lauria pointed out that tragedy isn’t always the route.

“You know, all this crap about kids from TV shows having terrible lives? Look at ‘The Wonder Years.’ They all did great.”
