With the final word still out on who will be the next Bachelor , Nick Viall , Ben Higgins, and Jared Haibon are all thought to be the most likely candidates. That being said, do one of those men have a clear advantage over the others?
Haibon certainly made a good impression with fans during his time on The Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise . Perhaps his biggest advantages are his qualities as a superb gentleman.
Additionally, Haibon isn’t afraid to show emotion. After being dumped by Kaitlyn Bristowe , Haibon let his emotions fly and even cried a little. However, he did so while remaining friendly to Bristowe, which easily won the hearts of many fans.
At the same time, Higgins also made a great impression on fans during his stint on The Bachelorette . Although he was eventually eliminated by Bristowe, Higgins was rumored to be a clear favorite for the next Bachelor .
However, perhaps no one has a better shot at the job than Viall, who came in second place in the last season of The Bachelorette when Bristowe rejected him for Shawn Booth. Speaking to Us Magazine , Viall talked about the likelihood of him accepting the role if the show asked him.
“As far as The Bachelor ? I spent the past three months really just focusing on moving forward. It took a lot out of me, and all of my energy has been focused on [healing]. After last night, I think anyone would feel really lucky to be considered. It’s obviously an incredible opportunity.”
Although coming in second place makes Viall an obvious choice for the next Bachelor , his recent failure marks the second time he’s fallen short in the reality dating world.
Meanwhile, host Chris Harrison recently dished that the next Bachelor would most certainly be a former Bachelorette contestant.
“I think we have an embarrassment of riches for this season, I can pretty much guarantee that someone from this show will be our Bachelor ,” Harrison told the magazine. “I mean, there’s just so many good choices. I mean, we had two girls, we could have like five guys. I would do it with any of these guys.
While ABC still hasn’t announced who will be the next lead man on The Bachelor , Harrison also revealed that an announcement would be made in the coming weeks.
“I will share this with you,” Harrison stated during the After Paradise show, “We might be making this announcement on this show in the coming weeks.”
