Perennial daytime soap opera favorite Days of our Lives will live on for another 18 months.
NBC signed the with Sony Pictures TV earlier this week, so the soap will remain on air until September. But it’s not all great news for Days fans: the previous deal was for 5 years, showing some waning faith in the product.
Variety reports that it’s unclear whether NBC also negotiated a reduced license fee for the show.
Days of our Lives has aired every weekday on NBC since launching in November 1965.
