Student Who Banned Whites From Equality Event Claims She’s Not Racist Because ‘Ethnic Minority Women Cannot Be Racist’

A British university diversity officer who was branded racist after banning white people from attending an “equality” event she had organized, insists she cannot be racist because “ethnic minority woman cannot be racist.”

When Goldsmiths University student Bahar Mustafa held an equality event labelled a “BME Woman and non-binary event only,” she was greeted with howls of protest from her fellow students who saw the banning of white people and all males from an “equality” event to be highly inflammatory.

The Daily Express reports that “BME” is a politically correct tag , which means Black and Minority Ethnic, and the term “non-binary” is apparently an all inclusive term for progressive types who do not view themselves as being exclusively male or female.

Prior to hosting the fun sounding and casual-natured event, the mature student posted a message on Facebook to all BME women and non-binary people to remember to pop along for a bit of good old fashioned equality, but warned other interested parties that they perhaps wouldn’t be quite so welcome.

“If you’ve been invited and you’re a man and/or white PLEASE DON’T COME just cos (sic) i invited a bunch of people and hope you will be responsible enough to respect this is a BME Women and non-binary event only.”

After being greeted with a tirade of abuse and enough vitriolic verbal volleys to fill a tennis court, the 27-year-old bounced back and aggravated her critics further by posting a sarcastic picture of herself on Facebook six days later, showing her standing in front of a “no white men” sign wiping a way a big fat crocodile tear.

After having been absent from the headlines for a while, Mustafa returned in style earlier this month by addressing the final student assembly at Goldsmiths on May 5 and in a bizarre rant defended her earlier actions on the ground that it was absolutely impossible for an ethnic minority female to be either racist or sexist. So, that’s all cleared up then.

“I, an ethnic minority woman, cannot be racist or sexist towards white men, because racism and sexism describe structures of privilege based on race and gender.”

“Therefore, woman of colour and minority genders cannot be racist or sexist, since we do not stand to benefit from such a system.”
